Internal diameter 41.6m N-S, 44.4m E-W
According to the landowner, this rath was originally bivallate, but the outer ring was completely removed and no visible trace survives. What remains today is a circular area enclosed by a bank and external fosse. A bohareen cuts through this site in a WSW-ENE direction. The enclosing earthen bank is well defined and has a steep exterior side. It rises to a maximum of 2.5m internally and 4.3m externally. The external fosse only survives to the W to N to NE where it is 1.2m-3.4m wide and 1.2m deep. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land. Two main breaks can be noted in the enclosing bank, one to the NW measuring c 2m and one to the SE measuring c 2m. A circular mound (KE021-122002-) lies in the centre of the interior; it is 7.2m N-S and 7.8m E-W internally and 1.2m high. 6.8m S of the mound is a depression .6m deep (KE021-122001- & KE021-122003-). According to the landowner, this was originally a shaft about 30 feet deep that had to be closed up. Another shaft lay in the N sector, but this has also been closed up.
