What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1841-42 OS map, only the N through W to S sectors appear on the later edition of 1898. KE021-118---- was completely levelled a few years ago and no surface trace survives. According to local tradition there was a souterrain (KE021-118001-) in this fort, but no trace of it survives. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 790. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 2 August 2013
