This univallate rath is marked on the 1841-42 and 1898 OS maps, though on the later edition the N through E to S side of the bank would appear to be incorporated into a fieldbank. This site has been completely levelled, but the outline of the enclosing bank can be clearly seen as a soil mark on the ground.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 777. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
