Univallate rath KE021-058---- is situated in the corner of a pastoral field. The site has been much levelled and disfigured.
On the 1841-42 OS map 'cave' is marked on the interior, though no surface trace survives today. According to the landowner, a souterrain (KE021-058001-) was uncovered a few years ago while ploughing in the field immediately W of this site but was later filled in.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 727. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
