What is recorded here

Internal diameter 36.6m N-S, 38m E-W This circular univallate ringfort is enclosed by a well defined bank of earth and stone. The enclosing bank is on average 7.5m wide at the base; it rises to 2.5m above the interior and 3.7m above the external ground level. The interior is at much the same level as the surrounding land and the entrance, which is 8m wide, would appear to lie to the E. In the N sector of the interior is a slight depression, which would appear to be an entrance/exit to a possible souterrain (KE021-034001-). The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 749. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 2 August 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
