Lissalassa/Lios an Lusa (ringfort of the herb). Bivallate ringfort KE020-070---- is situated to the SE of Ardfert village in the barony of Trughanacmy. It consists of a large circular area which is enclosed by two banks and an intervening fosse.
The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land and the entrance lies to the E. There is a 2m wide gap in the inner bank to the SW. Its exterior side was stone faced by the landowner; however, the lower layer of stonework would appear to be of an earlier date. It is inaccessible, but it is possible to see that it was stone lined.
