Not marked on the 1842 OS map, it is marked on the 1897 OS map as 'Brandon's Well'. Situation and Description: This well lies in a slight hollow in a corner of a field E of a circular enclosure (KE020-056----). This well has been completely covered over and only a swamp area now exists. Rounds/Legends/Offerings: It is reputed to be a holy well dedicated to St Brendan. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 912.
