This site commands a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside especially SW through NW. It is a roughly oval-shaped area with an overall diameter of c 11m NW-SE and 14m NE-SW. An external earthen bank 2.5m-3m wide and on average 1m high encloses an internal area which rises to a mound 4.6m NW-SE and 7.05m NE-SW. The interior is sloping NW and in the interior of the SE sector a hollow sound was noted, as if something lay beneath. Local stories speak of a chieftain being buried there.
