The Minute Book of the Co. Kerry Field Club (Vol. 2, 793-4) records a ruin 'that was once a chapel and afterwards used as a school' in Booleenshare townland. Originally a two storey building, at the time of visit, only two walls remained standing. The exact location of the church was not recorded.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
