Lisheennagaurlagh/Lisín na nGarlach (little ringfort of the children (KE011-017001-)). All that survives of this site today is a low sub-circular mound measuring 11m x 13m and .5m high. Slight traces of two fieldbanks running into the site to the SE and SW are still visible. This site is known locally as a killeen (cilliín) KE011-017002- which was in use up to and including the famine period. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 862. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 3 August 2013
