In rough pasture on a S-facing slope. Contained within a narrow strip of land immediately adjacent to river to N. Depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map (1841) as an oval area defined by hachures along the S arc. When visited in 2000, a roughly rectangular area (15m N-S; 15m E-W) comprising of random humps and hollows was visible and the conclusion was that this is most probably a disused quarry.
