Internal diameter 34m N-S, 28m E-W Situated SE of KE009-005---- in the corner of a field, this univallate rath consists of an oval area enclosed by an earthen bank on average 5m wide and rising to a height of 1m externally and .6m above the interior. An external fosse is evident N to W and is 2m-4m wide and .5m deep. The interior is at slightly higher level than the surrounding land, and in the N sector is an oblong mound (KE009-008001-) measuring internally 6.4m x 2m. A fieldbank runs along the N to E side of this site. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
