Internal diameter 47m N-S, 53m E-W
Situated in a corner of a field in gently sloping pastureland, the views are extensive in all directions. This bivallate rath consists of a large sub-circular area enclosed by a well-defined bank, a wide steep fosse and outer enclosing bank. SE to E, an outer bank and fosse cannot be distinguished. The exterior height of the inner bank varies between 1.6m-2.8m and on average 1.4m above the interior.
The fosse measures c 3m in width. The external height of the outer bank measures 1.2m-1.3m above the fosse. The entrance which was possibly stone lined lies SE and measures 4m in width. This large fort was the headquarters of the Whiteboys in the parish in 1786 (Dan Kissane, 1987).
