Rathfinnoge/Ráth an Mhianaigh (ringfort of the mine). Situated in the corner of a large field, the land immediately surrounding this site is boggy and used for rough grazing. This circular univallate rath is enclosed by an earthen bank and exterior fosse. The bank has been slightly cut to the W by a fieldbank running NNW-SSE. The enclosing bank is on average 1.3m high externally and .8m above the interior. On average the width of the bank at the base measures 5.3m. An external fosse is evident from the NE through E to SW. It measures c 2m wide and .7m below the height of the surrounding land. Three gaps appear in the bank to the E, SW and NW measuring 3m, 2.6m and 2m respectively.
