This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle burial ground'. Although the site is marked on the 1914 map it does not have a map designation. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank. The inner area measures 33m NW-SE and 35m NE-SW; the external diameter measures 45.6m NW-SE and 49m NE-SW. The exterior height of the bank above the surrounding land measures 2m-3.2m. The bank measures 4m-7.4m wide at the base. The maximum internal height of the bank above the interior measures c 3m. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 843. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 4 October 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
