Lisnapeastia/Lios na Péiste (ringfort of the serpent). Marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS map as a circular enclosure, it was completely ploughed out in the 1980s and no surface trace survives. According to Westropp (1909), it was 'a large low fort'.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 137. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
