Situated on the crest of a hill with an extensive view of the River Shannon to the N and W. An irregularly shaped limestone boulder, the stone stands 1.48m high, and is a maximum of .7m wide at the base and .46m thick. This stone is marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps as 'Cloghlea'.
