Burial ground associated with Corballis Church (KD038-048----) located 30m to N, may have originally been a circular-shaped graveyard that was levelled c. fourteen years ago, and the area has been ploughed. No surface remains visible today on Digital Globe aerial photograph. Burial ground depicted on 25-inch OS map as a semi-circular shaped area bisected at N by a public road running E-W with church to N of road. No visible trace of burial ground to N of road. Corballis House 275m to S, Corballis Castle (KD038-047----) 310m to WNW. Burial ground described in 1838 as following; 'There was formerly here a graveyard, which fell into disuse and is now only traceable' (O'Flanagan 1927, 88). Fitzgerald (1903-05, 370-1) recorded that this site was used as a burial ground for unbaptised children and described the site as following; 'The land for some distance around is never tilled, as the building is said to have been a chapel (KD038-048----) in ancient times; and though no graves now exist, yet unbaptized children are interred here'.
