Jackson records the belief that St. Patrick baptised people at this well, but that there was no tradition of cures or patterns associated with it (1979-80, 151). The corbelled structure covering the well may be ornamental in origin and part of the landscaping of Belan Demesne. Date of upload: 15 September 2016
