What is recorded here

In 1981, a short rectangular cist (0.75m NW-SE; 0.35m NE-SW; H 0.44m), composed of four rectangular slabs set on edge and covered by a large suboval capstone (1.6m by 1.15m) was discovered during ploughing. It contained the disarticulated inhumation of an adult male accompanied by a complete tripartite bowl and sherds of a bipartite bowl. A collagen sample was radiocarbon dated to 3700±30 BP, which calibrates to 2200-1980. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol 1, 227-31) Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 11 February 2013
