In a small patch of mixed woodland which has been partially cleared and new trackways run through. A poorly preserved, irregularly shaped, grass-covered mound (14m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE; H 1.4-1.8m.). In 2000, archaeological trial trenching of the mound (Excavation Licence No. 00E0909: Stevens 2001a, 1-35) in advance of the expansion of the adjoining Dublin Corporation water treatment plant to the E led the excavator to conclude that the area in general had been subject to modern truncation through quarrying and backfilling and that the mound appeared to have been truncated beyond all recognition. No evidence of any residual archaeological material was found.
