On a hilltop with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. A small slightly raised oval area (25m N-S; 17m E-W) is defined by a scarp with no trace of an associated bank or fosse, although traces of a fosse were visible in 1955 (SMR file, 1972). Visible on a 2010 aerial photo (OSi Orthophoto).
