On a narrow, steep-sided esker, portions of which have been quarried away to the E, W and S. According to Dowling (1935-45, 454), ‘On a high esker which has been almost completely excavated by sand diggers a Dun or Fort formerly existed …’. The upper surface of the esker has also been partially quarried and no recognisable surface trace of a monument survives.
