Discovered abutting the SW end of the socket of a fallen standing stone (KD024-009001-) before its re-erection in 1934 (Leask 1937, 250-52). Described as a very small, roughly formed, stone lined cist, filled with compacted clay, it only contained a pig heel bone which was interpreted as a modern intrusion. The creation of a new secure socket to house the re-erected standing stone meant that the cist could not be preserved in situ (ibid).
