What is recorded here

Midway down a short but moderately steep S-facing slope, immediately W of a small, tarred track. Visible on an aerial photograph (DoD, 1999). A small, very slightly raised circular area (diam. 2m; H 0.2m) is defined by a narrow, shallow fosse (Wth 0.9-1.4m; D 0.15m), and a slight, outer, earthen bank (Wth 1.9-3.4m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.15m) ENE-S-NNW. A gap (Wth 0.8m) in the bank at S may be an original entrance, but there is no evidence of a corresponding causeway across the fosse. The perimeter is damaged by vehicles at NE.
