In 2003, 'Site 14D' (designated KD020-023----) was identified in a large open field during pre-development N7 road widening archaeological centre-line testing (Licence No. 03E1606: www.excavations.ie) and was excavated (Licence No. 03E1839:). Three small pits/post-holes were identified near one another. There was no evidence of any associated burning and the features did not form any discernible plan or pattern. Three small, unworked flint flakes were recovered from one of the fills, suggesting possible prehistoric activity. The lack of any further associated material suggests that these were isolated features in the landscape. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
