Near the S end of a narrow but moderately steep-sided pasture ridge with a commanding view over the surrounding countryside. Two cists were found; one (KD019-009----), described by Fitzgerald (1909-11, 104) as a 'slab-lined chamber which contained a skeleton' was uncovered c. 1870. The second (KD019-058----) was discovered in the same general area in 1982 and was excavated by Manning (1985-6, 484-91). A short, rectangular cist, of four upright flags, orientated N-S (dims L 0.68m; Wth 0.56m; H 0.55m) and floored with a single slab was uncovered during land improvement works. It contained the cremated remains of at least seven individuals (four adults, a child and two infants) and a Queen Scallop shell. The cist survives, protected by wooden fencing.
