According to Jackson (1979-80, 149), the well was associated with cures for headaches and sore limbs and a pattern was held there on March 17th. In the N sector of a graveyard (KD018-019003-). A spring well feeds a small channel which flows E (L c. 20m) to join a small tributary flowing SE to join the nearby River Liffey. The well is contained in a concrete well-house surmounted by a mortared-stone shrine containing a statue of St Patrick. Numerous votive offerings adorn the site: miniature statues of Christ and the BVM, rosary beads', religious pamphlets, crutches, hand-written supplications, bibs, hair-slides, grips and go-go's.
