Three buildings; a castle, a possible tower, and a small house, are recorded on the Down Survey (1655-6), in 'Newtowne' on the W side of the River Liffey. They appear to have been located in the area of the present Millicent Demesne. The exact location of these monuments are unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
