According to the OSL (Herity 2002, 46 (141)) '… it is said, there was formerly a Castle, of which, a vestige does not remain now'. On the landscaped grounds of Castlesize house, c. 150m E of the River Liffey. There was no trace of the castle visible in 1985 (SMR file).
