What is recorded here

Recorded on the 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map as a small, circular area (est. ext. diam. c. 40m) defined by a bank. On low-lying, level, wet pasture. The very poorly preserved monument survives defined by an arc of fosse (Wth 3.5m; D 0.3m) ENE-S-W, which has been recut as a field drain (Wth 4-5m; D 1.3m) ESE-S-W, and the line of which is visible as a cropmark at NE. A causeway (Wth 4m) lies at E. The N and E sectors of the interior have been dug out (D 0.8m), and the whole interior is heavily poached by livestock.
