National Monument No. 578. On the site of a possible early monastery (KD010-014----) founded by St Tua (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 405). On a slight rise in otherwise open, level pasture. A roughly oval area (diams. c. 60m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW), higher (H 1.5m) than the surrounding ground and enclosed by a modern wall contains a round tower (KD010-014002-) an RC Chapel site (KD010-014004-) and a 19th century church (KD010-014005-). While visible grave markers are concentrated in the SE sector, geophysical survey suggests that the whole graveyard contains interments, as may the 19th century church (M. Byrne, Unpublished MA thesis, NUI Maynooth, 2005).
