What is recorded here

This record was created for the (unknown) original location of KD008-018----, an armorial plaque located near the top of a tall, roadside gate pier (H 2.4) to which it was affixed after having been found locally. A small rectangular panel (dims. Wth 0.43m; H 0.28m) carrys the Fitzgerald coat of arms carved in high relief. In the mid-1980's part of a window mullion was in use close by as street furniture (SMR file). The exact location of this monument is unknown. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
