What is recorded here

The church stands to the SW of centre in a graveyard (KD008-009002-), on the site of a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (KD008-009003-). A poorly preserved, ivy-clad, rectangular structure (int. dims. L 16m E-W; Wth 6m) is comprised of E and W gable walls built of randomly coursed limestone blocks (wall T 0.9m), with the E gable wall supported externally by bonded buttresses. The N wall is reduced to a grassed-over stony spread (Wth 2m; int H 0.4m; ext H 0.9m), and only a short, low section of the E end of the S wall survives (L 4.8m; H 1m). The W gable wall contains a rubble-built, round-headed window. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
