According to Gilligan (1999, 44), in 1640 this church was referred to as 'Capella Sti Patritii de Killieghyery' - Chapel of St. Patrick of Killeighter. Its remains survive at the N end of a graveyard (KD004-031003-) which lies at the S end of a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (KD004-031001-). A very poorly preserved rectangular structure (int. dims. L 15m WNW-ESE; Wth 4.4m) is defined by grassed-over, collapsed walling (Wth 1.9-3.4m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.2-0.7m) with some original outer wall-facing stones visible at E. The interior contains 19th century headstones at the E end and cleared field stones are dumped on the W end. A drain (Wth 0.7m; D 0.6m) is dug outside the E wall to carry water from a Holy Well spring (KD004-031004-) to the S. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
