What is recorded here

On a gentle E-facing slope in tillage. A poorly preserved, slightly raised and densely overgrown circular area (int. diam. 33m) is defined by a fosse (Wth 3.2m; D 1.8m) which has been recut as a field drain. The interior is covered with material from levelled field boundaries to the N and E, cleared in 1985 according to local information. An entrance gap (Wth 5.7m) at NW appears to be modern. Visible on a recent aerial photograph (OSi Orthophoto 2005). Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
