What is recorded here

According to O'Leary (1899-1902, 330), a cist containing the crouched skeleton of a female child together with a food vessel containing ashes was found in 1854 by a ploughman in an upland field which sloped to the S. The precise location is unknown. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
