Within the forest park in Portumna Demesne. A roughly subcircular cairn (14.4m N-S; 11.8m E-W; max. H 2m at W) is composed of moss-covered boulders. Stone-facing is evident at S and W, elsewhere the outer limits are much collapsed. A central area (diam. 7m) is girdled by a collapsed wall (Wth 2.4m) from SW to NW. A pathway (Wth 1m) outside this may have lead up to the interior. Some trees are growing on the cairn. Possibly a landscape feature.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
