On a hill overlooking the Coole River to the SE. Subcircular cashel (c. 45m N-S; c. 40m, E-W), in fair condition, defined by a drystone wall. Field-clearance rubble obscures the enclosing element at N and SE. A laneway runs through the interior from E to SW.
