To N of Dún Chonchúir (GA119-054----). Kinahan (1869d, 29) refers to 'an Ointigh, with a kitchen-midden attached ... Two hundred yards [183m] due N of this fort' in which 'the brass pin No. 2 was found' along with a 17th-C token. Unfortunately, the pin is not illustrated and no visible surface trace of the midden survives. However, the 'Ointigh' may be still extant (see GA119-046----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
