In the interior of Dún Chonchúir (GA119-054----). Described in OS Letters as 'several cloghauns…built against the wall, but they are all destroyed' (O'Flanagan 1927a, Vol. 3, 259). Westropp (1895, 268) noted that they 'are now cleared out', probably during the reconstruction work carried out by the Board of Works in the late 19th C. The foundations of at least ten buildings are now visible: (a) the fragmentary remains of two structures at the base of the rampart wall directly to N of the entrance; (b) a penannular drystone structure (NNE-SSW 4m, ESE-WNW 3.8m, H c. 1m) in NW quadrant; and (c) a cluster of seven conjoined structures (Ds 2.5m to 4.5m) directly inside the rampart in SW quadrant.
