An inscribed slab (0.44m x 0.42m; T 0.11m) in the SE angle of the external wall-face of Teampall Bheanáin (GA119-009001-) was probably inserted here during conservation works. It was placed on its side and the inscription, running vertically, reads: CARI. A set of initials P.O.M. and the date 1814 were subsequently added to the slab (Higgins 1987, vol. 2, 380, no. 100). They run horizontally above the older inscription. (Manning 1985, 98)
