What is recorded here

On a rise in gently undulating pastureland. This standing stone consists of a squat granite boulder (H c. 2.3m; Wth 1.4m) which irregular in plan. It originally stood on a rectangular stone structure (L 3m; Wth 2m) defined by grassed-over stones but was removed during field clearance in the early 1970s. It now stands against a field boundary some 20m to the SW. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 17 December 2019
