What is recorded here

On a rise in pastureland within the former demesne of Earlstown House. This roughly circular ring-barrow (diam. 14.2m), in fair condition, is defined by a flat-topped earthen mound (diam. 10m; H 0.3m) which is surrounded by a fosse and a low external bank. Several mature trees are growing on the mound. Two tree ring enclosures lie c. 50m to SE and NW. The barrow may have been reused as a landscape feature.
