What is recorded here

In flat pastureland overlooking a valley to the SW. Marked on the 1921 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a truncated roughly subrectangular enclosure (c. 50m NW-SE; c. 38m NE-SW). A NW-SE running field boundary cuts across it from W to SE and no trace of it is indicated to its SW. The monument has been levelled and on inspection all that was visible was the arc of a filled-in fosse from NW to N. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 19 February 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
