What is recorded here

On a N-facing slope in tillage. Named 'Cave' in Roman script on the 1839 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The Galway-Limerick railway line now overlies it and no visible trace of it survives. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 9 September 2019

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
