What is recorded here

In rough pastureland. A series of field walls curving roughly from NE through S to N and possibly mirroring the outline of a ringfort (c. 47m NE-SW; c. 38m NW-SE) are indicated on the 1922 edition of the OS 6-inch map and are also visible on an aerial photograph (CUCAP AHJ 24) taken in June 1963. Another NNE-SSW running field boundary cut through it from N to SSE. On inspection all the field walls, apart from the NNE-SSW running one, had been cleared away. The current evidence is insufficient to warrant accepting this as an archaeological monument. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 11 July 2019
