What is recorded here

On a gentle S-facing slope in pastureland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (50m N-S; 46m E-W) defined by a bank except from NNW to ENE where a road cuts through the monument. A field wall crosses the interior from WSW to ENE and another field wall has been built against the external face of the bank at E. Field clearance material has been packed against the bank in several places with the result that it varies in width from 3.4m at NNW to 7m at S. A well has been sunk in the NW quadrant of the interior. A souterrain (GA113-185001-) is associated. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 7 March 2018
