What is recorded here

On a gentle rise in undulating pastureland. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 276-7, no. 3) as a circular ‘Stone fort’ (diam. c. 23.7m), the E half of which was destroyed. The W half was entirely obscured by rubble and overgrowth but the external wall-face was visible. On inspection only a low arc of loose stones, covered with field-clearance rubble, was evident at W. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 18 January 2018

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
