In the S sector of a rath (GA113-131----). This well-preserved T-shaped drystone-built souterrain (L >22.5m) consists of two chambers joined at right angles by a drop-hole creep. Access is gained via a breach about mid-way along W wall of the S chamber (L 9.8m, Wth 1.98m; H 1.33-1.73m), which runs N-S and lies partly beneath the bank of the rath. A drop-hole creep (0.8m x 0.45m; L 2.8m) at its N end leads to the N chamber (L 9.9m; Wth 2.07m; H 1.13-1.62m), which runs E-W. A large blocking stone near the creep suggests that the original entrance was located in this chamber, which is now partly overlain by a road. McCaffrey (1952, 274, no. 16) mistook this souterrain as an isolated example.
